Here’s our highlights reel

1977
Pacific Aerials sets up shop in Manurewa, Auckland and is incorporated as a Limited Liability Company. Our products include antennas and accessories for CB radio and for low, mid and high-band two-way radios. This is when Police cars travelled around with two metre long antennas!
1987
The first Marine VHF antennas are manufactured. Thirty years later, Pacific Aerials is the largest marine antenna manufacturer in Australasia, supplying global markets.
1988
We launch the first Pacific Aerials newsletter to our customers and suppliers. We haven’t missed a month since.
1989
We printed our first colour catalogue and pricelist. We still have a brochure but our website carries all our latest information.
1990
We doubled our floor space and staff by moving to new premises in Papakura, Auckland.
1991
The first 4.9 metre and 7.3 metre SSB and VHF antennas were manufactured. Our new generation 4.9 and 7.3 metre antennas enjoy a global reputation.
1992
We grew our sales and support staff to service our growing international customer base.
1994
We gained ISO9001 certification, which is an essential credential for a growing list of government and corporate customers.
1995
Cordless phone antennas became big business for us. Today cordless phones no longer use external antennas.
1996
We developed a new company logo and a multi-colour catalogue. Company brands evolve and our 2016 version is our best yet.
1998
We ship our first Pacific Aerials voltage converters. The original linear designs were soon replaced.
1999
Pacific Aerials made the first professional No-Cable marine antennas. And the marine industry still likes them today.
2000
We outgrew our Papakura building and moved to even bigger premises in Howick, Auckland. The much anticipated and globally feared Y2K computer bug turned out to be a non-event. Yaaay.
2002
We launch our new switchmode voltage converters, converting 24 volts to 12 volts reliably.
2004
New mobile TV antenna launched. Today it’s still a world-class digital terrestrial television antenna.
2006
Pacific Aerials’ VHF Emergency antenna won an award in England; nicely validating our belief that it was good.
2008
Our RF-LMR 400 coaxial cable replaces the RG-213 coaxial cable. 1930s specifications no longer cut it for 3G communications. Who knew? ☺
2010
We launch our Quadband antennas for mobile communications. This is four antennas in one.
2012
The Internet of Things is live and we’re there to witness its birth. We continue to evolve and make great antennas for the world’s growing data needs.
2014
We’ve never lost touch with where it all began for us. Land mobile radio still fits beautifully where cellular can’t.
2016
They say technology never sleeps. Don't we know it. Quadband antennas become Pentaband antennas.
2017
Pacific Aerials Limited will celebrate its 40th anniversary. Party time!
